The two had walked to the mall chatting about every day things really. They arrived at the mall and walked inside, there were so many places to choose from where the two could have some lunch. There were resturants, sandwich bars, fast food resturants. Lauren stopped and stood next to Alex looking up at him with a cute smile. "Ok I choose where we were gunna go, now it's your turn to choose where we eat." Said Lauren with a bit of a laugh.

Looking around the mall it took Alex two minutes to take into account the type of food each place had. "Er um how about...." He stopped taking and looked around again. "That sandwhich bar over there. It looks pretty empty." Alex said poitning to a small sandwhich bar.

Lauren stood watching Alex decide. She glanced over at the sandwich bar that was rather empty, which was fie by her. She smiled and started to walk over. "Cool." She said sweetly. Once at the sandwich bar Lauren stood at the bar and looked at the menu which was on the wall. "Ugh I don't know what I want." Said Lauren as her eyes skimmed the menus.

As the waiter came over Alex looked at the Menu. "Can I have a sandwhich on white bread, with butter, ham, lettuce and tomato. Oh and a cup of tea. And whatever she wants." he said pointing at Lauren

Lauren had now decided what sandwich she wanted and looked to the weighter. "Umm can I have a chicken and mayo sadnwich please and a cup of tea to please." She said. The guy nodded and went to make their sadwiches and tea. A few moments later he came back and placed their orders on a tray infront of them. "Ok thats £5.50 please." Said the guy. "Wanna go half each?" Asked Lauren looking up at Alex.

Alex looked at Lauren and raised an eyebrow. "Umno I dont want to go halves." Alex then gave the waiter $10.00. "I'l pay for the both of us." He eventually smiled breaking the seriousness. "Come on!" he said indecating to an empty table

Lauren looked up at Alex with a eyebrow slightly corked and then smiled back at him when he smiled. She followed Alex over to an empty table and sat down placing her jacket over the back of the chair. She then took a sip of her tea before speaking again. "So do you think we'll get more powers as we go along?" Asked Lauren quietly so no one else could hear what they were talking about.

Alex sat down opposite Lauren. "I dont know. Its hard to know. I ean I'd say we were given them for a reason and whoever gave them to us should know so we best find him or her. Although I have this feeling as if I could just do some crazy things with my body. But I wont try them incase i cripple myself." Alex said and digging into his sandwhich.

Lauren smiled softly and then took a bite out of her sandwich with another sip of tea. "Oh yeah thanks for paying by the way." She said and then ate some more of her sandwich. She quickly glanced around the mall. It was kind of quite, but that mostly due to the fact that people were at school or work. "So what do you like to do in your spare time Alex?" Asked Lauren changing the subject.

"Well I read a littl bit. Real books not just comics.2 with that he laughed lightly. "I swim, and just hang around and go to Trax usually at the weekend. What about you." he asked taking a sup of his tea. "Oh have you started to develop another power. Its just I think I might be and I just wanted to see if you are getting the same feelings."

Lauren smiled and laughed lightly to at Alexs comment. When he started talking about new powers she leaned in abit so he wouldn't have to talk so loudly. "Well I feel more powerful, you know, but i haven't noticed a new power yet. Maybe we're like progressing, you know what I mean." Said Lauren taking a bite out of her sandwich. "Anyway what I like to do is like you go to Trax. Love that club. I do the girlie stuff you know like shopping and all the rest, even though I do sound abit shallow there is more to me than that. I like quite abit of sport. Swimmings alright, but I prefer water skiing and also snow boarding." She said with a slight nod.

"Maybe your right. Ya water sports are the best. Too bad I didn't develop gills." he said smiling. "so have you told your parents about your powers." he whispered a a man walked passed and ordered a sandwhich

Lauren started to drink her tea when Alex said about developing gills. She started laughing and almost spat it out across the sandwich bar. Once she had swallowed she let the laugh out. "Yeah I cna imagine that." Said Lauren with a grin. However the grin soon faded when Alex mentioned about telling her parents about her power. "Umm no. I don't know how. I mean I can show them but their'll probably think I'm suicidal if I go in there and cut myself." She said with a slight sigh.

Alex chuckled a bit. " Yea that wouldn't go down too well. Hey mom look I can stab myself and not die." he said while indicating an invisable knife cutting into his wrist. "It wouldn't work out well at home either. What would I do make them levitate." he said while rolling his eyes and taking another bite of his sandwhich.

Lauren started laughing. She could imagine themselves actually doing that, although it was not a laughing matter she found what they had just said to be funny. Or at least she saw the funny side of it. "I just think my parents would freak out if they knew, but I do know I'm gunna have to tell them sometime. Maybe when I have found out abit more about having powers and everything." She said with a slight shrug and a soft smile. She continued to eat more of her sadnwich for abit before sparking up another conversation between the two. "So Alex have you always lived in New york or have you travelled abit?" She asked while finishing off the sadnwich.
