Alex had decided to get away from the noise of the city for a bit and the complications at school. He went to Central Park to unwind and relax. He strolled over to his favourite bench on the edge of a lake under a few big oak tree's.
Alex sat back leaned his head against the benched and closed his eyes. The sunlight was dappled through the leaves and a cool breeze cooled his face. It was perfect here. Alex opened his eyes and looked at a few leaves on the ground. He focused on them and made 8 leaves spiral into the air using his telekinesis.

Every week Rowan came out to the park to practice his powers. He knew the perfect spot where nobody ever went. Well at least rarely ever. Sometimes when he got there and there were people there he would have to 'shock' them into leaving. Of course they had no idea it was him but still he did it and he enjoyed it. He loved playing pranks on people. In fact that got him in trouble in school quite often.
When Rowan arrived at his favorite spot he noticed a guy there. Laying on the grass next to the lake. He remembered seeing this same kid at his school so he decided not to take any chances. "Hey there..wats up?" asked Ro as he walked right up to Alex.

As Alex relaxed away the day he heard a voice and snapped open his eyes, the sun making him place his hand over his face. Alex sat up and looked around. He saw a guy walking over to him. It was Rowan Archer. One of the jocks. He was o.k they talked once or twice.
Alex placed his palms on the grass and looked over at Rowan. "Hey!" he said and then looked at the lake again.

Rowan finally made it over to the kid then he realized that it was Alex Williams. He and Rowan had talked a couple of times and he was a pretty cool guy. "Hey Alecy what are you doing out here all by yourself?" he asked. Hopefully he could get him to leave, but he knew that was going to take a little persuation.
(sry for the short post Im kinda out of a muse right now)

Alex smiled and stood up and walked over to a bench. He sat down and looked over at Rowan. "I come her to chill and think and..." he was going to say something about his powers but then shut up. "Erm nothing." he said looking at the lake again. "What are you doing here. Where are the other guys."

Rowan shrugged as he heard Alex's answer. "Yeah same thing I just came here to relax..I guess." he said as he sat down next to the lake. There were some ducks playing around in there and he couldn't help smiling. They sounded so funny and full of life. Rowan then turned to look at Alex. "So....its boring around here...you should leave.." he said abruptly. He was trying to annoy Alex so he would leave. Rowan was pretty good at annoying people but Alex was a cool guy and he really didn't want to mess up his friendship with him.
Normally he would have just shocked someone so they would leave...of course nobody knew it was him but still they always left him alone. Then Rowan remembered seeing something wierd... the leaves dancing above Alex..but there was no wind..
"Oh wait Alex...was there wind before I came cuz I saw some leaves..kinda hovering over you.." he said to him.

Alex stayed lieing on th grass and laughed slightly and he suggested him to leave. "Um o I'l think I'l stay thanks." he said in not a mix of a serious and fun voice. As Rowan asked if there was a wind earlier Alex got a bit nervous bit before he could think of an answer he blurted out. "No. wait I mean yes yes there was a wind earlier." he said in a not at all convincing tone

Alec entered the park. He was in a pretty bad mood today. Not really a reason for it he just was. He wanted to take it out on people just like he always did so thats why he came to the park. He knew he would find lots of unsuspecting fools, who his shadowmen would love to play with. Also he might start a fire or two. He grinned as he thought of setting the whole place on fire, but he decided against it. He wanted to have more subtle fun without anyone to stop him. Alec then looked around for the perfect victims. Of course there was always the children..but they seemed so happy and at peace...maybe he shouldn't...after all they had done nothing to him... Oh what the hell he thought happily then summoned two shadowmen by just thinking about them. Shadowmen were basically that shadows, but still they had flesh and they could be killed. Alec had practiced his aim on several of them a couple of times so he knew that fire was a sure way to kill them. The two shadowmen flew over Alec and made their way towards the unsuspecting children. Thats when all hell broke loose. People saw them and ran. They ran and screamed and picked up their children, but Alec knew they weren't getting away. *insert evil laugh* ((This is what shadow men look like, basically. Not all of them have wings though. ))  |

But before Rowan could reply screams could be heard. Alex whiped his head around and saw a man standing in a clearing with two things beside him. "What the hell is that." he said walking slowly towards it. "Hey leave those people alone."he shouted at the three.

Rowan didn't believe Alex at all. Something wierd had been going on before he came and he wanted to know what it was, but before he could question Alex any further he heard screaming. He immediately looked up and saw some wierd shadow things flying and chasing the people in the park. There was only one guy that wasn't screaming or running...in fact he seemed to be enjoying the show. "I have no idea..." he said as he followed Alex.
Then Alex shouted at the shadow things and they smiled. Apparently they liked it when people stood up to them... Now they were heading straight for them and they didn't look like they wanted a hug. "Aw crap! Thanks Alex!" Rowan yelled as he saw the monsters glide towards him.

Alex instinctivly did a sommersault and landed in front of Rown. he didn't know how he did it but he did. "Whao" he breathed but as the dark thing came rushing up to them Alex raised his hand. He used his telekinesis to push the thing back but his power wasn't strong enough to hold it back for too long. "Run." he yelled to Rowan who was now behind him.

Rowan's jaw dropped as he saw Alex basically fly over him and land infront of him. Either he was into gymnastics...or he was like him..special. Then Alex did something that proved to him that they had a lot in common. He stopped the monsters just by raising his hand. "Holy crap..." he said with his mouth wide open. Then he heard Alex tell him to run and he shook his head. He was going to help him and he didn't care if it exposed his secret.
"No. I can help." he said then he closed his eyes and lifted his body into the air. He had been practicing flight for a couple of months now, but he still had a lot to learn. Then one of the monsters escaped Alex's telekinetic grip and headed straight for Rowan who was now flying right on top of Alex. The monster smashed into Rowan sending them both flying into a bunch of trees.

Alec couldn't help laughing as he heard people actually standing up to him. Well it wasn't people it was two teenage looking guys..in fact he was sure they went to the same school he did. Immidiately his shadowmen went to take care of the little pests. Nobody stands up to me and lives...its just not good for my rep.. he thought with an evil grin on his face.
Then he saw something he never expected to see. One of the boys jumped over the other and actually..stopped his shadowmen...with his mind! By just raising his hand he stopped them! Clearly he was the braver of the two..and he needed to die. Then just when Alec thought nothing else could surprise him. The second boy floated into the air. He was flying! "You...you..have powers!?! How? Why?" yelled Alec. He wasn't scared, he was more angry than scared. He thought he was the only one with powers..and that made him special...now these freaks were here to take away the spotlight...but not without a fight. By now all of the innocent kids and parents had gone away and it was just Alec and the two apparently super powered boys.

Alex looked as Rowan floated above him. "Wait..how." but before he could say anything that made sense a demon thing jumped him. "Hey." he said loosing his focus letiing the other shadowman get free. As it ran after Alex he went over to Rowna to help him. He kicked the other shadowman off him and helped him up. "Good to see you can help." he said a little out of breath

Rowan could hardly breath with the monster slashing on top of him. He kept trying to get him off but he had no success. Then out of nowhere Alex came and got the demon off of him. "Thanks." he said with a relived smile. Then he got up and started to focus. It was time to shock these things into leaving them alone. "Now stand back.." Rowan said as he stepped infront of Alex and put his hands up infront of him. He was aiming his hands right at the shadow things who were actually flying straight for him. Then the energy flowed out of him like water out of a dam. It was a very power realease. The energy hit the things hard, shocking them and making them fall to the ground. "Yes!" Rowan yelled with a smiled on his face. "Do you think they're dead?" he asked Alex. He wasn't even scared of Alex running away from him because he was a freak...well mostly because he knew Alex was one also...somehow..
